Like the 10 million other people who joined Meta's new timeline challenger Threads, you've probably noticed that your feed is full of people you don't know. Although some of us are enjoying the wild west feeling, you might want to filter your Threads feed to see only the accounts you follow. Here's a quick step-by-step guide to do exactly that.
Follow these 7 steps to only show posts from accounts you follow on Threads - Meta's new Twitter competitor.
First off you're going to need to sign up and then open the Threads app. You can find it in the App Store or by going to your Instagram profile, clicking settings (the 3 lines in the top right corner), and then clicking on "Threads". You can install the Threads app on iOS or Android devices.
In the bottom right corner of the app you'll see an icon that looks like a person. Click on that to go to your Threads profile.
In the very top right of the screen you'll see two lines, you click on that to open your Threads settings.
Next click on "Notifications", it's the menu item with the little bell icon next to it.
Now click on "Threads and replies", it should be the 2nd line item.
Change your likes, replies, reposts, quotes, and first threads settings to "From people you follow".
Go back to your home feed and refresh the timeline by pulling down on the screen. Voila, you should only be seeing Threads posts from the people and accounts that you follow.
